Abstract
While working on the GTZ (SEP) Women and Energy stoves project in Kenya we were producing stove inserts of fired clay. There are two types of stove: a one pot and a two pot and they are built with different pottery Inserts which are then surrounded by stones and mud to build up and strengthen the body of the stove and improve its thermal insulation. The Insert is the firebox and also the pot support; it has all the correct dimensions built into it for optimum combustion and fuel economy...
