Combustion characteristics of biomass briquettes: A question for Joel Chaney
This author did a good work
In this study, rapeseed oil residue briquette looks to be more acceptable. I would like to know if the author also thinks about large population at this stage of the study; because in some region in Africa, this source of feedstock is less available than other sources: then he should think about the most available sources for large population.
Why the author did not use newspaper as a binder for briquetting feedstock? This could be good and cheep (less pressure use, good quality/property briquette, low water content, etc..).
I ask also why the author used the briquette in the pyrolysis test instead of using pellet; in pyrolysis or gasification system, the space between each particle in the stove is very important; the more the particles are small, the more are spaces. The use of pellet is advisable as for me for such system.

A question for Catherine Inglesfield, Kelly Stallwood & Martin Crapper
These authors work on a marvelous topic to tackle sustainable development training in the world.
Since these authors have to work again, I am asking if they cannot work more in the solution of the problems. May be by designing a system where the contamination is prevent by using portable latrine (or plastic type from renewable plastic and rubber); the demonstration could also show the benefit to obtain biogas from the system. This could help younger student to love applying such solution in the future.
Improving the Design of a point of use ceramic water filter for use in developing
countries: A question for Charlie Rickett
The sand filter that this author wants to use looks difficult to me: because sand filter need more time to let water to pass; the sand filter system is use for large scale/small scale water treatment system and why he would like to use such system for pretreatment? I think that he needs something that will increase the speed of water passage than sand water system; He has to also think about another system for pretreatment…. May be he can use a modify system of sand filter treatment too; but as for me is better to use a different pretreatment type.
A question for Chris Cavey
This is an interesting article, In poorer country, the building with concrete is very expensive because of cement cost. In the region that the sunshine intensity is high, it is good for poorer to construct there house with good wood that is cheap and will not store the heat. Note also that in developing countries where it is very hot, the roof with zinc material is very sufficient to heat the water: that is why you will see some poor people using herbs for their roof instead of using zinc (zinc is expensive and also bring heat their house and will obliged them to by ventilators).
If this system is for rich people in developing country, this will work well. But if this is design for poor, it is better to take into account the cost of the entire system (construction, installation, operation, cultural habit, maintenance, vulgarization).
Buoyant Bamboo Dwelling: A question for Chris Weekes
This is another interesting article and idea.
What the author thinks about the floating plant (water hyacinth) that is around the buoyant bamboo dwelling? Water hyacinth is a dangerous plant that is always the host of special snake (boa) that also kill human, especially baby. Please ask from the author if there is no risk? I think that he should not look only the monsoon problem, but also the security.
-I would like to know if the author also thinks about the acceleration of the water eutrophication: if yes which is normal, this means that he needs a way to make the system more sustainable for environment; And also the more there is eutrophication, the more the water hyacinth develops in the water and pump water by evapo-transpiration, reduces Biological Oxygen Demand (fishes disappears), etc… Yes what do he think about the waste management in the system? It is sustainable as for him?

-Interesting article, amongst those six elements, I would like to know which element is concerning climate degradation? Nowadays, in many developing regions more millions of climate refugees are moving. I am saying it because, climate issue is link to sustainable development.
Rainwater harvesting in Pabal, India: A question for Ella Seed and Shingirayi Tarirah
This an interesting article, I would like to know if at state of Maharashtra there is more eucalyptus? (this plant have been wasted the ground water around the world by evapo-transpiration).
Please which type of irrigation are they using in the region? (Drip irrigation save more water that other system, it can be constructed by local material too).
Design of a wooden framed bicycle: A question for Joshua Lewis
-This is a good idea and possible for developing country. I have found such type of bike here in Africa for poor people, use to transport agricultural product from farms.
I would like to know if this design by the author will consider the weight of the bicycle ? Usually the weight is high when use wood as a material.
