Over 1.4 billion people cook on an open fire with no access to electricity and many more have only unreliable access.

This conference invites papers that discuss technology, mass manufacturing or the social context associated with the supply of electricity to rural areas using heat engines (Photo-Voltaic implementations are excluded from this call, but other solar technologies are eligible).

The conference will be held at the East Midlands Conference Centre, Nottingham.

Registration is required prior to our conference and can be made by completing the PDF registration form and emailing the form to rebecca.burns at nottingham.ac.uk.

If you sign up before February 14th you are eligible for an "Early bird" registration fee (non-speaker) of £350 (including lunch on both days). For a full break down of the various costs can be found here: http://www.nottingham.ac.uk/lmh/registration/registration.aspx

The deadline for registration is March 30th.
