The Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves
A public-private partnership to save lives, improve livelihoods, empower women, and combat climate change by creating a thriving global market for clean and efficient household cooking solutions. The Alliance’s ‘100 by ’20’ goal calls for 100 million homes to adopt clean and efficient stoves and fuels by 2020. The Alliance will work with public, private, and non-profit partners to help overcome the market barriers that currently impede the production, deployment, and use of clean cookstoves in the developing world.

The Alliance recently partnered with Accenture Development Partnerships (ADP), the global management consultancy’s not-for-profit practice, to prepare a market assessment and prepare recommendations to develop a national cookstove industry in Timor-Leste. The National Cookstove Workshop is an opportunity to bring together existing and potential program participants from the Government, civil society, UN agencies, private sector, and donor communities in a forum to share cookstove program plans, learnings, progress, and timelines. The workshop will include a presentation of Alliance market assessment findings, spotlights on innovative programs in Timor-Leste, panel discussions and break-out groups to facilitate a clear plan forward for improved co-ordination across the sector.

As space is limited, please confirm your attendance and the expected number of participants from your organisation as soon as possible via an email to ian.lobo at
