ProBEC Carbon Zane Abdul, ProBEC's Carbon Officer, attended the African Carbon Forum in Senegal early in September. ProBEC staff changes We welcome Nwamaka Nnodu Mbatha to the team who will be an intern for four months in the Johannesburg office. Her back ground training is in chemistry and environmental engineering. She also has a experience in biogas and anaerobic digestion. She will be assisting with public relations activities, knowledge management and the SeTAR Centre. We also welcome Ruth Hilmann as our receptionist. More

ProBEC in Zambia WFP signed an MoU with ProBEC Zambia to sc ale up the fuel-efficient stove project in schools that are on the WFP School feeding project, the team participates in a craft exhibition at the US emabassy, marketing activities are prioritised and there will be training in tobacco barn building in Choma, in Southern Zambia. ProBEC and GTZ - AAA adopted Accra Agenda for Action adopted: on the 4th September in Accra, Ministers of developing and donor countries, and heads of multilateral and bilateral development agencies endorsed the Accra Agenda for Action. The AAA aims to deepen and accelerate the implementation of the Paris Declaration on Aid Effectiveness of March 2005. More
